Welcome to Sasha-Louise's home page, a trusted local service for Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and couples therapy in the Greenwich and Blackheath area.  Sasha Louise is  registered with the British Association of Behavioral and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP) and Accredited Counsellors, Coaches, Psychotherapists and Hypnotherapists (ACCPH).  She has been working with clients since 2005.  (Testimonials run at the bottom of the page).

Therapy sessions can be in person at Mycenae House (SE3 7SE), online sessions or on the telephone.

Additional information:

If you're having mental health challenges therapy is a safe, non judgemental and confidential space for you to work through challenges with support of a therapist and in that process better understand your current situation and how you can change it.  It is a judgement free space clients for self exploration.  Clients can explore their thoughts, feelings, emotions and behaviours, identify negative patterns of behaviour. 

 

Some problems that clients might be having are anxiety, depression, stress, insomnia, panic attacks, eating disorders, mood swings, indecision, reclusive tendencies, concern for loved ones, worry about the impact of mental health on individuals.

How many therapy sessions will I need to have?

​

The World Health organisation recommends a minimum of six sessions and recent research suggests that 50% of clients have between 15 to 20 sessions.  Sessions start weekly, there is a natural step towards biweekly and then monthly, quarterly check ins.  

​

Individual CBT sessions are via the telephone, online and in person with clients.  Sessions last 50 minutes and the amount recommended is 6-20.

​

Couples therapy are online or in person (locally).  Sasha Louise works with couples using emotional focused therapy (EFT) which encourages an emotional reconnection between couples.  Sessions last 50 minutes and the amount recommended is 6-20.

How will I know when I am better?

Mental Wellbeing is when an individual can cope with the stresses of life, realize their abilities, learn and work well, and contribute to their community.  It is important to an individuals health and well-being that underpins that persons individual abilities to make decisions, build relationships and shape the world we live in. 

​

In therapy an individual can be emotionally supported and learn techniques to cope with the stresses and strains of life.  In a non judgmental environment an individual can gain self awareness in time to better understand their current coping mechanisms, how, where and why they work and have worked and where they don't work.  Therapy is a process. 

 

Sasha Louise has an open door policy where clients can return at any time and continue the exploration together.
